License and domain question - by GTP - on WordPress WooCommerce support

    Hello 8theme team,

    We had a domain and X-Store license for this.
    The domain got cancelled because we missed a payment by mistake.

    We still have the website on our cPanel.

    If we upload the full website backup onto the same domain or another domain, will we get the website we had before the domain went “unpaid” etc?

    If you have a complete backup of your website, including all files and databases, you should be able to restore your website to its previous state on the same domain once it is reactivated or on a new domain (regardless of the used theme). However, please note that the X-Store license is tied to a specific domain, so if you plan to use a new domain, you may need to re-register or transfer the license accordingly.

    To proceed with the restoration of your website, please ensure that the domain is fully operational. If you’re moving to a new domain, make sure to update the domain settings within your X-Store license management area (XStore > Welcome panel and your account on our site).

    Hi Rose,

    Thanks so much for your detailed reply. We will get that domain back up and running or move it to another domain, but we just wanted to make sure we will be able to run that license on either the old domain or the new one?

    We just did not want to let that license go to waste and want to use it for the old website we had (it was mainly for testing etc.)

    If we require any help in moving that license to a new domain, can we just ask you in this support forum?
