You do not need to activate the bundled plugins. For more information, please refer to the following link: https://help.market.envato.com/hc/en-us/articles/213762463-Bundled-Plugins.

To update the bundled plugins, please go to XStore > Plugin Installer and click the Update button above the plugin that has the new version.

Alternatively, you can update the plugins manually via FTP, as outlined in the following link: https://www.8theme.com/documentation/xstore/plugins/plugins-update/.
