    Hello,

    I got,
    Legenda,
    Royal Theme,
WooPress and all these 3 got one thing in common, long loadtime.

I got nearly 100 themes and no other got this loadtime issue.
All websites are on a VPS with CDN service.
    Perfect Cache, perfect settings.
But it’s only your themes that got awful initial loadtime.

I really need help on this one. If you know the answer please tell me 🙂

As i can see its the DOM content being loaded at 4.5 sec = Theme!

Images are down to 6kb – 60kb i cannot compress them any further plus they are all lazy loaded and on CDN Service.
The CSS & JS is minfied, i had 12s initial loadtime without Autooptimize plugin.

    So something is not right…

    Hello,

Try to disable all 3rd-party plugins and check site loading again. Don’t forget to clear browser cache too.

    Regards,
    Eva Kemp.

    Hello Eva,

I asked my colleagues to inspect this issue and they can see that it takes 72% for load_template. Thats the theme.

We disabled all plugins, initial loadtime 2seconds, should be under 1 second without any questioning.
When we enabled plugins that come with the theme, then the loadtime increased to 4 seconds.

We’ve checked the database, external plugins with other themes, nothing wrong there.
We’ve optimized the site to the bone, without cache, initial loadtime 4,5 seconds.
Cached to the bone, initial loadtime 4,5 seconds and ofcourse it goes fast when one cached the page but its redicolous loadtime switching to new pages etc.

Well i dont want to be harsch, you do a fantastic work and themes but loadtime is basicly a key in ecommerce and all sites for that matter.

How can we improve the initial loadtime? Without destroying anything. Ask your devs please.
I would like to solve this.

Salles.se run Legenda out of the box with a initial loadtime of 6 seconds.

    Regards

    Hello,

    Sorry for a long delay.
We’ve improved our theme as much as we could. Unfortunately for now we don’t have any solutions what can be optimized. If you have experience in development and have proposals concerning changes in the theme (we mean only specific changes in the code in particular files, rather than general phrases like “Reduce CSS File” etc), we’d be glad if you declare them here or contact us via the contact form https://www.8theme.com/contact-us/ .

    Thank you for understanding.
    Regards,
    Eva Kemp.
