    Hi,

When I click on “XStore Child” (https://prnt.sc/li9cj0), the page appears “XStore Child” and “XStore” at the same time (https://prnt.sc/li9cgy). It cheated me because I thought “XStore” was “XStore Child”. Therefore, I did all my translation in the “XStore” file.

If my translation is all in “XStore”, will they be affected after the update? Will I lost my translation?

    Hello,

    Here is our documentation https://www.8theme.com/documentation/xstore/theme-translation/base-theme-translation/
All will be fine if your translation files are placed in /wp-content/languages/themes/ folder.
Also, don’t forget to backup all the files before any update.

    Regards

    Hi,

How can I check whether the file is stored in in /wp-content/languages/themes/ folder.?

The documentation only shows the settings when creating a new file.

    Hello,

To check File info http://prntscr.com/lip5o5 go to Loco Translate > Themes > XStore > http://prntscr.com/lip642
or connect to your server using FTP and check the folder.

    Regards

The location of my file is -rw-r–r– crystocf:crystocf languages/loco/themes/xstore-zh_HK.po (https://prntscr.com/lipf85)

Seems there is a “loco” in the middle of the “language” and “theme”. Is it means that the structure is not as same as wp-content/languages/themes/ folder.?

Will my translate gone when I update?

You won’t lose translation after theme update even in case files placed in the current folder, but I would recommend you to move xstore .po .mo files into languages/themes/ folder via FTP.
