Loco Translate location file why system ?

Hello,
In the translation documentation using Loco Translate, you recommend to set the localization of the translation file to “system”, not to “custom” (locco directory). I always thought, “custom” is better. Is “system” better for your plug?

Hello,

You can use System or Custom, it does not matter, it works the same way. Don’t use Author because you will lose your translation after theme or plugin update. Either System or Author is ok.
