    Hi there,

I purchased this theme, because I am in love with this particular home page version: https://www.8theme.com/demo/royal/?page_id=20244&et_styles=0-12-1-9-0-1

I’m in the Theme Options – Import/Export and see all of the demo data. I’m looking for the style above and am just not seeing it on there.

If I need to choose another homepage and build it myself to look like the demo above, how do I build the page to look like that gorgeous page?

WP credentials are below, if needed.

    Thanks in advance,
    Marie

    Hello,

Such variants as Marriage, Street Photo were not included in theme import, due to using essential grid visual composer element, which should be imported separately.
I’ll explain you how to create such pages and you’ll be able to create them in no time.
How to create Street Photo variant:
    1. Go to Theme Options > Header > select 14 (or 13) type of header
    2. Import Essential Grid as described in our documentation https://www.8theme.com/demo/docs/royal/index.html#!/essential_grid
    3. Go to Pages > Add new. Use visual Composer and add Essential Grid element. Select the appropriate grid. All Page Layout settings (Sidebar, footer, heading) should be disabled. Save page and set it as Front page in Settings > Reading.

    Thank you.
    Regards,
    Eva Kemp.

    Hello,

Thank you for that. I was able to get through step 2. I think there is something funny happening, as there are about 4 options at the end of the list when importing (I took a screen shot, but don’t know how to attach here). All gave the choice to add as new or overwrite (I had overwrite selected as per the documentation), however, the bottom four did not have that option. In that bottom four, it says photographer and also marriage – the photographer demo page is what I’m trying to obtain (https://www.8theme.com/demo/royal/?page_id=20244&et_styles=0-12-1-9-0-1).

So, when I went to add a new page, per your instruction and add the grid after importing, those four items I am not seeing in that essential grid list. I can see all the rest that imported. Please help.

    Hello,

I’ve created missing grids for you.
The grid with title “Grid 1-073754” is for Street Photo. You just need upload your own images to the grid.

    Thank you.
    Regards,

    Hi Eva,

Thank you for creating those missing grids. This seems really easy to use now, but I am having trouble still making the grid be like the grid on the demo. Two questions:

    1. What size am I supposed to make my photos? I looked at the demo photos in my Media Library and sized them all to 600×338. They look great in the grid. But they are not showing as large as the photos on your demo page when I click the magnifying glass. What is optimal?

    2. Second, I have my grid that I want for my Home Page on a Page titled Home. However, every time I try to delete the permalink so that the page is strictly mariemasse.com – it keeps adding numbers or the title of the page to it. How do I set this page as my Home Page?

    Hello,

    1. Your original images should be approximately 1 200px × 900px dimensions.
    2. I’ve selected Home page as a front page in wp-admin panel > Settings > Reading.

    Please check now.

    Regards,
    Eva Kemp.
