Main Menu is not clickable unless page is refreshed

In certain browers (IE and Thunderbird) the main menu is not clickable upon first arrival to the homepage. If the page is refreshed, it works fine.

I have checked for conflicts with plugins and found none. How can I fix this?

Hi Eva,
Thank you for the last code update, I have some strange stuff happening with the menus. When I click on category from my drop down list a get all theses blank icons. I thought I had it figured out any thoughts?
