Search engines have stopped indexing me and letting me run ads due to problems with my site. I started scanning using Powermapper and found a large number of html and css errors, broken links to theme files and other issues. I fixed a couple of items, but honestly, it’s a lot, and I’m wondering if this is because I’ve been updating XStore for two years and all the changes have corrupted my code. I will email the pdf report to Support so you can see the errors. My question is, once you have looked at the errors, what is the most efficient way to resolve them, and can you provide instructions? Thank you.
Hello, @johnm,
I have checked your site for mobile and desktop and found no issue it is working fine without any errors as you can see in these screenshots: https://postimg.cc/DJ8BQM7T and https://postimg.cc/mh3FXShf also, there is no pdf file attached in your topic for the errors. If still you are facing errors please share the file with us so that I will check and understand the situation to assist you accordingly.
OR you can try with the Yoast SEO plugin as well, it is compatible with our theme, It is the best plugin for SEO and has a lot of options related to SEO.
Regards 8Themes Team.
Hi Tony, thanks for your reply. Yes, the tools available on Google’s and Bing’s respective sites do not report any errors. However, I have an open ticket with Google as to why my ads aren’t running and they alerted me to the fact that they see many errors in Developer Console, although they wouldn’t give me technical details and suggested that I use a tool that will validate my website code, which I’ve done with Powermapper. Also, I do already use Yoast SEO on my site for that reason.
That said, I do not see any mechanism to attach a file to a support topic, which is why I emailed it to support@8theme.com yesterday. Since that clearly didn’t work, I’ve shared it on my SharePoint site, a link is provided in the private content area. Thank you!
Hello,
Thanks for the reply.
From your report, we don’t see details about exactly which links are broken and which errors. We recommend that you register here https://freetools.seobility.net/en/seocheck/check?url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.discountkeystore.com&crawltype=1#fg-pagequality and analyze your site and then you can fix errors.
Currently, the rating of your site is at a high level and we have not seen any errors on the home page.
We would recommend you use a plugin for file minification and merging – this will speed up your site and have a positive effect on search engines as well.
After you have evaluated your site for SEO, made changes, and optimized the site for speed, write to us again and we will tell you what to do next.
Regards
Ugh, my mistake. I assumed those underlined, blue things in the report were actually links to the technical detail, and they weren’t. Please feel free to log into my Powermapper account to see the technical details, creds attached. Third time is a charm.
I have also used Seobility as well, but it does not analyze the W3C code standards that I believe are my issue, only SEO issues. I’ve also tried turning off/on my minification, caching, and SEO plugins, but there is no improvement in my code overall with respect to these errors/issues. I appreciate your help. Thank you.
I made a few changes and re-scanned since my last reply several hours ago. Please see the report link here and use the same creds from the last reply. Thank you.
Hello,
https://gyazo.com/c1189acdd99dbd7f34f07f06253d61e2 – most of the errors that are currently in your scanner are caused by this panel. Disable it and rescan the site > send us the next report – we will review it again.
Regards
Done. New scan results at the attached link. Thanks!
You need to fix the link on this page to your email https://www.discountkeystore.com/refund-policy/ .
For our side, in the course of 2-3 weeks, we will also fix what we can and corresponds to logical things. About 20-30% errors. It is in case you can leave us access to your site and this service for the next 2 weeks.
Regards
Yes, I will leave your access. Just let me know when you are finished.
Also, I don’t see a problem with the email link on that page. I reapplied the formatting to it just in case, but if the problem is still there, please give some more information on what I need to fix. Thanks again!
Could you provide FTP access? We want to apply some changes in theme files and re-scan your site then.
If you do not know how to create FTP contact with your hosting provider, they will help you.
Regards
Yes, I can do that. I’ll need a source IP address or range to whitelist. Also, can you do SFTP on port 22?
Please check the Private Content area.
SFTP is ok.
Regards
Ok, done. Creds attached.
Thanks. Please let us know the path to the folder with the theme installation.

We uploaded for you new version of theme and core plugin but our permissions denied for renaming old folder from xstore -> xstore-old and then to rename xstore-new -> xstore. The same procedure should be done with et-core-plugin.
Could you please, do it by yourself or provide us ftp access with better permissions so we will do it by ourselves.
theme folders are here -> https://prnt.sc/FnQAigWdL_Xm
and
et-core-plugin are here -> https://prnt.sc/P9wpdQw-eMfW
After you done those, could you please retest issues on your web-site and share the new test url as you did before.
Note: We did changed which could be done globally from our side but there are also many questions which should be fixed in your pages’ contents or asked to fix plugin’s authors.
Few examples:
“Attribute size is only allowed when the input type is text, search, url, tel, email or password.” – You should contact with WooCommerce plugin because this fix should be included from their side globally -> https://prnt.sc/W9IxdloRJecx
“Duplicate attribute style” – Page content Elementor widgets issues -> https://prnt.sc/Y5uvSg832Vmb
“Bad value for attribute action” -> https://prnt.sc/1WDXJK9HfFb6
Here is an article with more details -> https://www.8theme.com/documentation/xstore/theme-installation/theme-update/

Can you try sudo? I added that user to the sudo group. If that doesn’t work, I’ll be happy to in a few hours. Thanks!
I didn’t hear back, so I went ahead and changed the folders as instructed, flushed the cache, and then flushed the cdn. New scan results are at the attached URL. Thanks!
We added a few more fixes and that is all that we could do from our side.
All others are not for us (details were described in the previous answer with examples).
Regards
Ok. I noticed that et-core plugin was not activated, and when I tried to activate it, I get the following error:
Plugin could not be activated because it triggered a fatal error.
Fatal error: Cannot redeclare initial_ETC() (previously declared in /opt/bitnami/apps/wordpress/htdocs/wp-content/plugins/et-core-plugin/et-core-plugin.php:424) in /opt/bitnami/apps/wordpress/htdocs/wp-content/plugins/et-core-plugin-old/et-core-plugin.php on line 423
We don’t see any fatal errors on your web-site
Also, we removed the old XStore Core plugin (to prevent double activation of the same plugin) – it was left because we didn’t have permission to remove it.
