Hi, when I search a keyword for the post, it is not only showing the blog post but also other normal pages that includes the keyword, can this be avoided?
For example, if I search “Vietnam”, it should only appear two related articles. But the result also shows other pages, https://snipboard.io/QPjgNw.jpg.
Second, can the recent post below the single post page show 2 of recent post not 3? https://snipboard.io/lNikqB.jpg
Thank you.
Hello, @M Project,
Thanks for your contact.
1) We understand that you are experiencing difficulty in obtaining specific search results when entering keywords, such as “Vietnam.” I’d like to clarify that the search feature is designed to display all relevant content, including blog posts and other pages that contain the specified keyword in their titles or descriptions.
If you wish to refine your search to specifically showcase blog posts related to “Vietnam,” I recommend utilizing the search function with additional filters or parameters. By doing so, you can tailor the results to meet your specific requirements.
For further assistance, I encourage you to explore the search settings in your WordPress dashboard. To access these settings, please navigate to Wp dashboard >> XStore >> Header Builder >> Search. Here, you will find options to adjust and customize the search settings to better align with your preferences.

Hi, is that I can’t make any changes to only display relevant blog posts?
Hello, @M Project,
Thank you for reaching out to us with your query. We understand your concern regarding the display of relevant blog posts in the search results.
To tailor the search results to show only the relevant blog posts, please follow these steps:
a) Access your WordPress dashboard.
b) Navigate to ‘XStore’ in the menu.
c) Click on ‘Header Builder’ under the ‘XStore’ section.
d) Locate and click on ‘Search’ within the Header Builder settings.
For a visual representation, please refer to the image provided in the following link:https://imgur.com/a/c1q2hQ9
Within the Search settings, you will find an option named ‘Results Limit.’ This option allows you to control the maximum number of results displayed in the list.
Please note that adjusting this limit won’t automatically filter out other posts but will control the number of results shown. If further customization is needed to fine-tune the relevance criteria, additional development work may be necessary.

The 8Theme Team
Hi, I have followed the steps above to set the search limit to 4, but when I search “Vietnam” at the sidebar of this page https://wide-minds.com/news-update/, the number of results shown is 5 https://snipboard.io/JZwdaP.jpg.
I think the setting for the limitation of the search bar at the header builder is not the same as the sidebar, do you agree?
Hello, @M Project,
Thank you for bringing this to our attention. After reviewing your concern, we identified that the discrepancy in search results on the blog page is indeed due to the search widget being used.
Upon further inspection, we recommend using the XStore Search widget for the Blog page and Search form on your site. You can find additional settings in Theme Options > Header Builder > Search, where you can configure parameters such as Results Limit and more.

Hello, @M Project,
We hope this message finds you well.
Upon conducting a thorough review on our test site, we have observed that the outcome aligns with the results you have encountered.
To provide further clarity, when utilizing the XStore Search widget within the main sidebar and inputting a search keyword on the single post sidebar, the system displays all posts containing the specified keyword. Please note that this behavior is the default functionality of the Search feature.
Alternatively, you can post your request on our Taskboard at https://www.8theme.com/taskboard/. If it receives enough votes from other customers, our development team will consider adding it in one of the upcoming updates.
Should you require any additional information or assistance, please do not hesitate to reach out.
