Neither Theme or Core plugin will install, brings up Fatal Errors

Tried updating the core files and theme, the main theme won’t appear, even though it’s installed and visible in FTP, only the child theme shows, and trying to install the latest Core won’t allow it too, keeps throwing up fatal errors
