The latest Woopress 6.0.0 completely destroyed our web site. The header background is gone. My top menu turned completely white, against a white background, making it invisible, and most of the other formatting for the site has disappeared. And yes, I did install the new woopress-core file and clear the cache. I switched it back to the old version 5.0.1 to restore the site. I have a screen shot of what the new version did if you need it. I certainly hope you didn’t change all of the CSS definitions because that would be a very bad practice, potentially breaking every site that uses Woopress. What’s worse about this is I fear I will never be able to update Woopress again if this is what the future holds. Please advise.
Hello,
Thanks for contacting us. Use Lightshot screenshot tool https://app.prntscr.com/en/index.html to share screenshots, it creates a link to the image and you will just send us that link.
I would recommend you to create a staging site (a full copy of live site) and do all updates there. Only if everything is ok on the staging site update production.
6.0 version is a major update. Theme Options framework was changed to Redux instead of Option Tree, so you will need to install Redux and CMB2 plugins.
Contact us after the theme updating and installation of new required plugins (https://www.8theme.com/demo/docs/woopress/Plugins/Included_Plugins) on the staging site, provide us with temporary wp-admin and FTP access, and we’ll check why you have problems with the update.
Regards
