    Hi,

I updated the new WordPress version, and now I get these warnings and can’t log in to the backend. The site on the frontend looks like this. Can you please help?

    Hello,

There is an error on your site:
Fatal error: Call to undefined function wp_cache_get() in /home/ethiqued/public_html/wp-includes/option.php on line 1123
It’s related to WordPress, not to the theme.
Please try to reupload WordPress files manually via FTP.

    Regards,
    Eva Kemp.

    Hi Eva,

I just tried uploading WordPress manually. But it didn’t help! 🙁 I use Filezilla to upload and I downloaded the wordpressfile, extracted it, opened Filezilla and connected to the site, marked all files and maps in the wordpress map and pressed “upload”. Everything went through without problems, but now even the frontend dosent work. So now I cant acces the site at all.

do you know what to do know?

    Hello,

I’ve renamed the folder “w3-total-cache” to “w3-total-cache_old” in wp-content/plugins directory and site is working now.
    Please check.

    Regards,
    Eva Kemp.

    Hi Eva,

You are a life saver! Thank you so much! Is there anything I need to do to prevent this from happening in the future?

    Hello.

    You’re welcome.
I recommend you to delete W3 Total Cache plugin completely and reinstall it if you still need it.

    Regards,
    Eva Kemp.
