hi, since you closed of the ticket without any resolution I am opening it again. *
i have looked at all the tutorials that are provided but they don’t offer any answer/solution to my questions.

    I honestly need help.

i am currently setting up my website for the first time with Xstore.

now I am running into some problems with the AMP plugin. it changes the entire design for mobile wich looks amazing btw!
but sadly I can’t seem to find any tutorial on the amp plugin, and I therefor don’t know where I can edit those pages.

it seems also that when I edited pages for the desktop version, nothing from edited text is coming trough on the mobile version wich seems logic; as in what I can understand is a mini website of it’s own in a way.

it’s also not clear for as tough why most pages are listed 2 times; one editable with element or and the other one not?
is the non element or one for the AMP plugin then? or how do do I make any logic up on that?

could I please have some support, because honestly configuring this theme is like a fanfare attraction; many lights and buttons but very complex if you aren’t used to something this amazing and beautiful.

    n’t
    kind regards,

    Brandon

    Hello, Brandon,

Thank you for contacting us and for using XStore.

It appears that the topic was closed by you, possibly by accident. Please note that we did not close the topic on your behalf – https://www.8theme.com/topic/problems-with-configuration-and-understanding-the-amp-plugin-and-editing-the-pages-on-that/#post-433719

Firstly, please be informed that the AMP plugin is not mandatory. Secondly, all available settings can be accessed via XStore > AMP XStore in your dashboard.
    https://www.8theme.com/documentation/xstore/amp-plugin/general-info-amp/
    https://www.8theme.com/documentation/xstore/amp-plugin/home-page-section/
    https://www.8theme.com/documentation/xstore/amp-plugin/general-section/

Please note that no additional customization options are available beyond what is provided. If the current settings do not meet your requirements, you may find that this plugin is too minimalistic for your specific needs.

This plugin was created to render the page faster by loading pages with minimal HTML, Javascript and styles.
Because AMP uses minimal code for quick loading, it can’t include all the elements on a fully functioning webpage, such as certain widgets, embedded content, or pages created using page builders (Elementor/WPBakery). This means that a webpage viewed with AMP looks like a mobile application to facilitate the user experience and doesn’t look exactly the same as how the original page would appear on a desktop or laptop.
XStore AMP allows to adjust the Home page elements, supports WooCommerce pages, Blog and posts (because pages/posts come with simple styles and texts), pages created by Elementor/WPBakery displayed in non-AMP version.

    Hi Rose,

    thank you for clarifying this.
I’m going to be dead honest about the fact that I did not close the tickets either.

this is finally giving a a correct answer and I commend you for giving me such a clear understanding. thank you, truly.

the weird thing with the plugin is that when I do edit pages, they don’t come trough on the AMP version, and that’s my main concern to why that is.

could you elaborate on that some more please?

my main thing is also, that the amp is focused on conversion, if you have a look at http://www.skindaddy.be on a desktop version it’s already looking good, but on the amp version I can’t seem to understand how to get anything looking quiet similar.

*if I understand correctly, if I’m going to edit my widgets etc, they should pop up in the amp version how I edited them?
like how do I make sure my ‘simple pages’ are correctly build for the amp version?

this kind of theme is totally new for me as it is a next generation theme on what I know and have used for years.

it’s quiet also overwhelming to have to take in account so much settings – versus a regular theme where you have to do it yourself.

    Dear @Brandon,

Thank you for reaching out to us.

The AMP version is a prebuilt design provided by the XStore AMP plugin, which does not support unique design customizations. However, the AMP configuration includes options that allow you to adjust the custom content of your homepage, as outlined in the XStore AMP documentation. Other dynamic pages, such as the Shop and Single Product pages, utilize the predefined layouts and styles from the plugin, and there are no available templates to modify their structure.

Please note that the AMP version of a website is built based on strict requirements set by https://amp.dev/, which restrict the use of certain HTML tags and styles. To ensure compliance with these requirements and proper validation by Google, we have developed a universal layout for specific pages, making them AMP-ready for mobile devices.

That said, we do provide an option to add custom styles to your AMP version. You can find this option under XStore AMP → Settings → Advanced.

Regarding widgets, there is a dedicated sidebar area available under Dashboard → Appearance → Widgets, labeled AMP Shop Sidebar. This sidebar will be displayed on your shop page, and you can use only the basic WooCommerce widgets, as more advanced widgets may not function correctly due to script and style limitations in the AMP version.

If you have any further questions, please feel free to clarify them, and we will be happy to assist you step by step. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in working together to create a well-optimized AMP version of your website.

    Best regards,
    Jack Richardson
