I’ve added a product and while I get the Description tab and can add an additional custom tab the Reviews tab isn’t showing. Is there something I have to do in order to make it appear?

    Thanks,

    Hello,

I’ve just checked a product and added a review: http://sgcdemo.terecomg.com/product/fashion-demo-accessories-9/#comment-3
Please check. It has been added successfully.

    Thank you.

    Hi,

Yes, but when I add a new product the Description, Returns & Delivery, and custom tab I created show but there isn’t a Review tab. You can see what I mean here:

How do I get a Review tab to show?

    Thanks,

    AP

    Hello,

We’ve checked the product with default WordPress theme and the issue persists there too.
So you need contact Woocommerce support regarding this problem as it’s not related to our theme.

    Thank you.

I figured it out and while the answer is pretty simple it’s also somewhat perplexing. Under Product > Product Data there’s a tab labelled Advanced. At the bottom of that section is a box labelled Allow Reviews. By default, at least with this theme, it’s unchecked. Checking that box will allow the Reviews tab to show on single product pages. However, I don’t want to have to check that box for each and every product I create so after doing a bit more digging I discovered that in order for that box to be checked by default you have to have comments enabled under Settings > Discussion > Default article settings. Checking the box labelled “Allow people to post comments on new articles” puts a check in the Allow Reviews box by default and then all products will have a Reviews tab.

For some reason this WordPress install didn’t have comments enabled by default. I checked the other Woocommerce themes I use and all of them have the comments box checked by default. Weird.

    Thanks,

    AP
