Whenever a visitor clicks “Add to cart” the following message appears: “Your cart is empty”
Loggued in users can add products to their carts, this only happens to visitors.
How can I fix this? I’ve already fixed this issue once by unchecking ajax filter but now this solution isn’t working. I read all the previous threads about this situation, I’m running Legenda v 2.6.3 and Woocommerce 2.3.7.
Thank you
Hello,
You can download the latest plugins versions at this link https://www.8theme.com/download-plugins/ ,
enter your purchase code of the theme to get the plugins.
After updating please try to disable third-party plugins and check the issue.

Robert Hall.
Hi Robert,
I didn’t tell you that I am now running my site with wpengine (I didn’t think that was the issue), but after reading that a lot of users are having problems with Legenda and wpengine, I think is relevant. (I read something that you wrote the cart in _sessions and they don’t work with it https://www.8theme.com/topic/items-dont-stay-in-cart/). All the threads I checked in this forum ended without knowing if you finally found a solution to these incompatibility issues. (ex. visitor can add products to cart, but when they refresh the page, the count goes back to 0, and when they access a page that isn’t cached, you can see the product added to cart again. Also, visitors can’t add products to wishlists, and loggued in users can’t remove/add to cart products listed on the wishlist page). I’m working with wpengine to find a solution to this, if you have one please let me know, thank you
*(I read here that…. )
This is the answer that I got from WPengine:
“If the theme is using PHP ‘$_sessions’ calls, any associated functionality will likely not come through correctly. http://wpengine.com/support/cookies-and-php-sessions/
With the exception of the cart, which is implemented as part of the theme, the underlying WooCommerce plugin is functional with the cache exclusion. I would suggest reaching out to the theme developer to see if there is a work around for the cart sessions.”
Is there? Thanks

Hello,
I’me having a similar issue with users that are not logged in. Has the issue been resolved?
Here’s a video of how it is not working: http://quick.as/xjdofpkx8
Hello @gorilladesign,
Please update the theme to the latest version as well as the required plugins https://www.8theme.com/download-plugins/ .
Create a back up of your files and database before update.
How to update theme you can watch in our video tutorial:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KdWESIIPU1k
Thank you.

Hi, so that everyone else in my situation knows: my issue was resolved by wpengine, not by updating the theme/plugins. (if you are running your site with wpengine, contact their customer service).
By the way, if anyone else is having problems with Yith wishlist (users not being able to remove saved products or add them to cart) this might help you, at least it helped me: https://wordpress.org/support/topic/i-cant-delete-wishlist-product-javascriptvoid0
Good luck!
Hello femr,
thank you for your reply. We highly appreciate it.
Have a nice day!
