Hi!
I have a problem with the Blog page. I’ve selected 9 posts in Settings > Reading > Max number of posts… but when I enter at blog, the website show 16 instead 9. It shows 16 in Grid, Standard or Timeline template.
And the other problem I’ve with the blog is that it shows the posts random, not from newest to oldest.
I’m showing the newest 6 post in website with the option in Virtual Composer and it’s working fine, so I don’t know what’s the problem.
How can I solve it?
Thanks,
Damian
Hello,
Please, provide wp-admin access in Private Content.
Also, try to disable all 3rd-party plugins and check blog page after that.

Rose Tyler.
Hi,
I attach you admin access.
Thank you!
Hello,
Please update the theme to 3.0.3 version.
Before update delete “woocommerce” folder in the directory wp-content/themes/legenda/ and it’ll be reuploaded from a new theme package.
Also update all required plugins https://www.8theme.com/download-plugins/ .

Hi, Rose
Yesterday I updated my theme. Now the blog page works better (last week it took a long time to load the images). The problem that I have is that I configured the blog to show 9 posts in each page, but it shows 18 posts in the first page and 9 in the second, third, fourth page. How can I solve it?
The other problem that I’ve with the blog page is that it doesn’t show the posts in chronological order (from newest to oldest), it show it random. Why!? (You can see the correct order in the HOME PAGE).
Thanks!!
Damián.
Hello,
Could you please provide FTP credentials to check the issue? Have you edited any files in the parent theme?
Best regards,
Jack Richardson.
Hi, Jack
The first time I installed the theme I edited files in the parent theme, but they were overwrited when I updated the theme last week. Now the edited files are in the Child theme.
I attach you the FTP credentials.
Thanks,
Damian.
Hello,
Please create a backup of your site and update WordPress to the latest version.
Also update plugins https://www.8theme.com/download-plugins/.
After that check blog page.
Best regards,
Jack Richardson.
Hi, Jack
I’ve updated the WordPress to 4.7 version and all the plugins… but the blog is still showing 18 posts in the first page (instead 9). The second, third, fourth pages.. show 9 correctly.
Further, the problem with the chronological order in the posts (from newest to oldest), it’s still random.
Can you check it?
Thanks.
Damián.
Hello,
Please try to disable all 3rd-party plugins and check the Blog page. Also disable Polylang for testing.
Best regards,
Jack Richardson.
Hi, Jack
Finally, I’ve solved the mistery!!!
While I was disabling all the plugins, I was refreshing and checking if the blog works fine. After disabling the Polylang Plugin, I saw that the blog shows 2 post in english in first place. I thought that was solved the random problem… but I see that the order were still wrong.
I opened this posts and I saw that they had the visibility as PUBLIC – FIXED. I deactivated this option in the posts that were showed in first place… and that was the problem!!! All the posts went to their correct position and now the first page of the blog shows 9 posts instead 18 (there were 11 posts settled as FIXED).
That was all the problem!!! I have told my customer not to check this option to avoid this in the future.
Thanks for your help.
Damián.
