I have an on-sale products page but it won’t show any shop sidebar filters. I would also like to add an on-sale category that can be added to the main menu header that also keeps the shop sidebar filters so customers can filter the on-sale categories.
Hello,
1) Please provide URL and temporary wp-admin access.
2) To show all sale items on one page, create a “Sale” category http://prntscr.com/qsz9vj > add products there, then add the category to the menu https://prnt.sc/qsza8d

I am aware of that option. I would like to show only products that are discounted naturally appear on a sales items page. Ideally a shop page that includes the sidebar filters
Hello,
Try to use OnSale Page for WooCommerce plugin https://wordpress.org/plugins/on-sale-page-for-woocommerce/ or similar.
Please note that we don’t give a guaranty for full theme compatibility with all 3-rd party plugins.

I have tried this plugin but the sidebar filters do not work with it.
Is there any code that will show sale items by category on a shop style page?
Hello,
Nope, unfortunately we don’t have such code. You may try to submit an additional customization request to the customization team – WPKraken, maybe they will be able to help you because there is no such default option.

Is there a way of forcing the shop sidebar onto a page that would link to the products on it?
By creating a page and adding a shortcode the on sale produces work but the sidebar is the issue.
Hello,
As I know WooCommerce filters never worked out of the Shop or WooCommerce archive page. It is not a problem with our theme, but the default functionality of the WooCommerce.
Also, OnSale Page plugin works on my test site. Did you select a page like shown here – http://prntscr.com/qv1fm5 ?
Regards
Yes, I have an Onsale page but the filters don’t work.
Hello,
Go to Appearance > Themes > install and activate default WooCommerce theme Storefront. Let me know if filters work fine with the default theme.
As we know WooCommerce filters never worked out of the Shop or WooCommerce archive page, probably you missed it in our previous answer. But if plugin that you use makes something that they work with default theme and you have problem with our theme only then we’ll be able to check. But if filters do not work even with the default Storefront theme then contact plugin author, we can do nothing.
