I’ve just purchased the license of this theme, I have “API request call error. Contact your server providers and ask to update OpenSSL system library to the 1.0 version.” when trying activate.
I already talked with my provider and they said that I have that version.
Can you please help me with this problem.
Seems you have an older version of OpenSSL
As the error message says “contact your hosting company and ask them to upgrade your OpenSSL”
If your OpenSSL is already the latest version provide us your FTP credentials to check this
After a week dealing with my hosting company this was their answer:
“Hello Carlos,
Thank you for contacting the Customer Care Team.
The ticket # 4138587 that was submitted for boss-lifestyle.com, regarding your OpenSSL concern, has returned from our investigation. Please be advised that we run OpenSSL 1.0.1e with PHP 5.6. We have now closed the ticket in regard to this matter. If you require any further assistance, please do not hesitate to contact us and we will be happy to continue working with you. ”
I’m going to provide you with my FTP credentials.
Please let me know. thank you.
I change Hosting companies From aplus.net to Hostgator problem solved, I was able to Install Xstore.
Thank you.
Hello,
Ok. We are glad that you sorted out. Let me know if you need any other help with our theme.

I have the same problem.
API request call error. Contact your server providers and ask to update OpenSSL system library to the 1.0 version
our hosting company has said that the version of openSSL is currently 1.01 on that server and have put the problem back to you.
Changing hosts is not an option for us.
I have rolled back to the previous Theme version for now as the client needs a working/branded website
Please advise
Kind regards
Deb
