I think there should be an option to toggle the mega menu or dropdown with onclick. Currently the default is hover but with the trend of touch screens an devices coming on board (Microsoft surfaces, hp/lenovo notebooks) I think this should be considered. Maybe in the these options service this as an on/off button in the header settings.
Speaking of, do you know where in the theme files I can hack this to work with onclick vs hover and for the menu to close with the mouse scrolling off the menu?
Hello,
Yes, at this moment we don’t have the option to open the menu by click for the desktop version but I sent this request to our developers and maybe we’ll add this in one of the next updates.
If you want to implement this by yourself you should have JS and CSS skills. To open menu by hover we use CSS only, to open the menu by click we would recommend to use the child theme and create custom js with the necessary code. Also, change the CSS styles to remove open by hover action.
