Outdated WooCommerce Templates & Other Issues

Hello!

I have two issues with the Royal theme:

Issue #1: I updated from WooCommerce 7.5 to WooCommerce 7.8.2 and four out-of-date WooCommerce Template files appeared: cart/cart.php; cart/mini-cart.php; loop/no-products-found.php, and single-product/product-image.php. I also updated the theme to 6.4 but that didn’t help. I have not implemented these updates to production yet, so the issue is only seen on the staging site for now. How do you want to proceed? Should I update the production files and give you access to production for fixing the issue there?

Issue #2: This might or might not be a theme issue: The Appearance -> Widgets area is not showing widgets properly. For example, going to Footer 1 widget area and the “Visma Pay maksutavat” widget, you can not see the content (a link) until you click on the seemingly empty content area. Also, the widgets have error messages in them that are shown only partially so that I can not read what the error message says. This is somehow related to Contact Form 7/reCaptcha v3, because when I disable CF7, the error messages in the widgets area disappear. reCaptcha v3 is only in use when CF7 is in use. (WP reCaptcha plugin uses v2)

Additional question: Royal theme uses Redux. Redux no longer has the template library bundled. Does the Royal theme need the additional Redux templates?

Let me know if you want me to update the production files first, and if you want access to production (not currently updated) or staging (updated) to investigate.

1/ Please provide temporary wp-admin access to the staging (updated) site.
To provide wp-admin access, you can create a new user account with administrator role via the Dashboard, and provide us with the username and password via the Private Content area.

Thank you for getting back to me. Private content area contains login information now.

Enabling old widgets panel fixed the widget area issue. Thanks!

When has the required plugins page been updated? Royal has needed Redux framework for a long time but the Redux framework plugin has always included the template library, too. Now Redux plugin does not include the templates anymore – it’s a new thing. Does the Royal theme require the Redux templates? (I am guessing that it doesn’t need them but I want to make sure)

Where you do see out-of-date WooCommerce Template files appear?

Hello!

Thank you for checking the site status. I do not see old template files anymore, either. It was probably a cache issue after the update, even though I did refresh with shift+F5. I’m glad that it is in order now. I will update the production and see if the same happens there as well.

Yes, please get back to me whether the Redux templates are needed by the Royal theme or not. Thank you for your help 🙂

“Does the Royal theme require the Redux templates” – no, we have everything sewn into the theme.

After the theme update, next time, please go to Royal-> Dashboard -> click on Clear WooCommerce system info cache.
