Hello,

After i just installed the Classico theme and tried it in “Google Page Speed Insights”, it complains about a lot of issues regarding the Javascript and CSS and optimizations about the images.

The images I can use the “Tiny Png” plugin or something to optimize, but how do i solve the the Javascript / Css problem ? It also complains about the server response time on the page, it should not be any problems on my web host, dont know if there is something in the theme under the code (unneccessary redirects?) or something that causing this?

Please help me due the webshop is really slow right now.

Checked again now in google page speed and de server response time is 24,1 seconds which is really much. I only have all the recommended plugins and settings installed (Theme demo content). My webhost is not the problem, I have used the same webhost on other sites without this problems. It has to be something related to the theme, please assist me to solve this!

Also you can use some additional plugins for compression, caching (W3 Total Cache etc), image optimization (WP Smush etc.) and Javascript / CSS Minifiers.
To improve page speed we would recommend to use cache plugin. For example W3 Total cache, because it has almost all the necessary options. Please read this article how to set up W3 Total Cache plugin:

Hi again,

I am currently using W3 Total Cache and also TinyPng for image optimizations. The problem remains even when using the Total cache plugin. The JS files and CSS gets Minified by W3 Total Cache which it should, but google page speed still complains about the minified files due they are initialized in (wrong) places in the code? The JS/CSS files blocks the rendering of the website which makes it take to much time and slows down the whole site. My website right now is not operational because of this. If you go to my website and just click on an product you can see how much time it takes, I can not release it for customers in this speed. Has to do with something in the code i believe.

Maybe the JS files should be initialized in the footer instead? But I cant find where they are initialized in the code and don´t know exactly how to move them in that case to solve this problem. Please kindly assist me on this.

Right now all the recommended plugins is only activated and + W3 Total Cache. In google page speed it shows the same result (2 minified JS files that blocks the rendering). If I also deactivate W3 Total Cache, all the JS files and CSS files that are initialized in the theme is listed (The ones which blocked the rendering and causes the problem). I can also deactivate all other recommended plugins and many of the listed files below will dissappear and make it a little bit faster but this is plugins that i need that comes with the theme.

Google page speed message : There are 10 scripting resources and 25 CSS resources that block the rendering of the page. It allows the rendering takes longer.

Hello,

I have been through these steps and read the links you sent me. The results of the link from gtmetrix that you sent me is similar to the google page speed results i got and the same suggestions about what i should do to make it faster. The problem is that it complains about the initializing of the JS & CSS files that is blocking the rendering of the rest of the page content and make it slower. I need to go in to the theme code and make some changes, probably move them to the footer. This is what i need help with because i can not find the right file in the code and need assistens to where to put them or make the scripts get read after rendering everything else in the code.

As I see your page speed score is great https://gtmetrix.com/reports/armofsweden.se/fpzT8fYB . It has an A mark. If you wish you can disable Ajax Add to Cart option in Theme Options > E-Commerce > Single Product Page to speed up the site.
