Hello, I am trying to get the parallax function working on the front page of my site, as shown in the demo.

After reading how to add a Parallax effect here https://www.8theme.com/demo/docs/legenda/index.html#!/demo_data_installation, when I click to edit a row I am not given the Design Options tab, and it is not possible to insert a video or parallax background as shown.

So I found this article here – https://www.8theme.com/forums/reply/1632/- and went into my Visual Composer settings and discovered that my plugin does not have the Design Options, Custom CSS, Product License, My Shortcodes tabs available.

Can you please help me enable this and get it working? Thanks!

    Please, contact administrator

    Hello,

This instruction https://www.8theme.com/demo/docs/legenda/index.html#!/visual_composer was updated due to the new theme version 2.2. You can upgrade the theme but before read our notification carefully: https://www.8theme.com/demo/docs/legenda/index.html#!/upgrade

    Regards,
    Eva Kemp.

Thanks very much. I just successfully installed Legenda version 2.2, and already the Visual Composer is out of date. I have 4.1.2 installed and it is telling me to update to 4.1.3. 🙁 Will I need to update the template each time I want to update Visual Composer?

Also, it seems that the new visual composer hasn’t gotten rid of sections, and has made re-creating the demo page a confusing task. Could you please lend a hand and paste the code/plain text of the demo home page code using the new visual composer?

    Thanks again.

    Hello,

You can update VC buying it yourself or wait for a new release of our theme where all plugins will be updated to the latest version.
All demo content for home page you can find in the theme archive.

    Regards,
    Eva Kemp.

Thanks again Eva. Unfortunately none of the home page example texts shown here https://www.8theme.com/demo/docs/legenda/index.html#!/visual_composer match the Corporate demo home page seen here https://www.8theme.com/demo/legenda2/

Is this the theme archive you were referring to?

    Thanks,
    Mike

    Hello,

You should have your theme archive which you downloaded when buying the theme, for example “Legenda_Ecommerce_Responsive_WordPress_Theme”. In this archive you have the directory called “XML_Data” and inside there is “corporate” folder with its data, which you can import into your site.
    Please check it.

    Eva Kemp.

I just went to Tools –> Import –> WordPress and I selected the XML file that was located in the Coprorate folder and received the following error:

“Failed to import “Front Page”: Invalid post type ”

Any ideas on how to get around that?

    Thanks,
    Mike

Answered my own question – I found a post you had written here https://www.8theme.com/forums/reply/2021/ which referred me to here: http://wordpress.org/support/topic/failure-to-import-and-invalid-post-type-errors

These are the steps that resolved it

    1) Download and Install 7zip.
    2) Right click on your .XML file -> 7zip -> Add to Archive
    3) Change the “Archive format” to gzip and hit “OK”
    4) Try to import the file again (using the .gz you just created) and it should work.

    Thanks,
    Mike
