    Hi

I did leave this as a comment on the Envato website but am also posting here.

I need some assistance in moving from a local server development to live development.

Local development went fine but when I attempted to deploy on the live server I receive the following error

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_FUNCTION in **/public_html/wp-content/themes/xstore/framework/thirdparty/envato_setup/envato_setup.php on line 773

Some investigation pointed to the PHP version being the problem but both local and live servers are using PHP 5.6

There was also a similar parse error with mpc-massive plugin but I have disabled this for now.

    Hello,

If you face that error it means that your PHP version is less than 5.3. Go to WooCommerce > System Status and check there.

In case, you are 100% sure that PHP is 5.6 but problem still persists, please, provide FTP and admin panel access.

    Regards

    Hi Olga,

We can close this one. It’s now working 🙂

The hosting manager, for reasons only known to them, had locked PHP to 5.2 so changing it via cPanel or via .htaccess did nothing.

Thanks Olga. Forgot to update here as I did on Themeforest.
