Hello i searched the forum, few people had problem with parse error that upgrading to higher version php seemed to solve. However my wp install is on php 5.5 and i get the error, any ideas?

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_FUNCTION wp-content/themes/royal/framework/theme-functions.php on line 2843
