Hello again,

As I am creating a website for a shoes company I would like to know how to make a page shows specific category of the portfolio. For example, I would like to upload a projects in the Portfolio (Category: Baby Shoes), and I would like to have a page which shows only these elements, not all of the projects.

Hello,

You can create separate pages for your portfolio projects and use Posts Grid element in Visual Composer editor. Select “etheme_portfolio” in the settings and type what category to display.

Unfortunately, I am not in the position to give you access to wp-admin because I am upgrading the site and there is too much private data in it. Couldn’t you explain me how to do it ?

Hello Eva,

i have the same problem. Can you describe the solution in more detail?

I go to “New Page” >Post grid… >Post Grid settings…. I think theoretically i must must choose “etheme_portfolio” in the field “Data source” and enter the category in “Narrow data source”!?

But in “Data source” only Post, Page, Attachement, Custom query and List of IDs is available..

I think I manage to find the solution on this problem.. I am creating a new Essential Grid Element. It creates a shortcode which I use later in Text block through Visual Composer.

You can add this code post_type=etheme_portfolio in Custom Query in Posts Grid settings.

Thank you verry much, with

post_type=etheme_portfolio

i get the portfolio items on a normal page.. but only the first 5 items – i’ve more than 20 items….. I do not see any option, to config what category to display. I can only see the first 5 items from portfolio.

if it helps, i can give you acces to the wp-admin panel…Alternatively, it would be great, when you discribe it in more detail – step by step… Thanx 🙂

This is VC bug. They redesigned some elements and even deleted some of them.
