One of my pages for some reason doesn’t show full blog posts but just a title, byline and three dots underneath and a “Read more” button.
How do I get it to show all content of the post?
Hello,
Go to Theme Options > Blog Layout > Excerpt length(words) > add the number of words you want to display.
Regards,
Rose Tyler.
Ok, I see this is the difference between 2.8 and 2.9 version of the theme.
I don’t want this excerpt option, I want my blog feed to show blog as it is and let me decide where I want to put Read more button.
The problem is it doesn’t show pictures like this and it messes up any styles for fonts.
Do I have to downgrade theme version?Hopefully not…
Hello,
Please show your blog page and provide WP admin credentials in Private Content.
Regards,
Eva Kemp.
Ok so you have a DE(german) version and HR(croatian) version of the site.
hr.euroswiss.net/blog
de.euroswiss.net/blog
HR is 2.9 version of the theme and DE is 2.8
I want the blog feed to be as created (styles, fonts, pictures) and not overridden by your view, obviously for updated theme version.
The “Read more” option is available through blog creating interface anyway so I don’t get why you automated it.
So I want the blog feed to be as is on DE version of the site.
Hello,
As I see excerpts on HR blog page are shown properly. “Read More” button starts where you added “more” tag.
“Excerpt length(words)” option in Theme Options can be used if you don’t add “more” tag in posts.

Eva Kemp.
I get that you are probably busy but you are not reading my request or you think I am stupid or something.
It’s not about the Read more button.
Just check ANY blog on HR and you will see that it has been created with various font sizes, colours AND pictures – which all are NOT DISPLAYED on the main blog site/feed.
AND AGAIN – all of that WORKS FINE on DE site with 2.8 version of the theme so it’s obviously the new theme version.
Hello,
I’ve edited content.php file. Please check your Blog page now.
Regards,
Eva Kemp.
That is it!
Thank you very much.
What will happen if I update the theme?
Hello,
The changes will be lost. You need create child theme https://codex.wordpress.org/Child_Themes and copy content.php file to the child theme.
Best regards,
Jack Richardson.
Connected question:
In DE site (2.8) on the blog creation page there is an option to choose an author from the users that are created (admin and others).
In HR site (2.9) it is just not there.
And now when I update the DE to 2.9 can I copy the content.php that you modified for the HR site?
I presume not, but then I have to contact you again so that you can modify that file for DE site as well? Just checking since the update will mess up the blog page and I want it fixed quickly.

Yes, you can copy the file.
In DE site (2.8) on the blog creation page there is an option to choose an author from the users that are created (admin and others).
In HR site (2.9) it is just not there.
Edit a post and tick “Author” option in Screen Options at the top:

Just copy content.php file to your DE site from HR site after update.
