Prefooter not showing - by LisaA - on WordPress WooCommerce support

Just upgraded to the latest version 3.9 from 3.4 and my prefooter is no longer showing store widgets.
Appearance > Widgets > Prefooter > 8theme-Static Block has the right prefooter. When I look at the static block for this area, that too is setup correctly but nothing displays.

I am using Widgetized Sidebar, 4 columns, Latest Products | On Sale Products | Featured Products | Popular Products

I’ve also tried recreating the block from scratch but the problem presists, they do not show up. The only thing that shows is the Widget Titles.

The problem is actually with the “Widgetised Sidebars”. If I replicate the exact layout I’m using in the static block and put it on a blank page, the Widgetised Sidebars do not work.

What is the fix for this?

Hello,

Sorry for the delay in answering.
If you use Widgetized sidebars to show content, please:
1) Make sure that you chose correct widget areas in Widgetized sidebar element settings.
2) Go to Appearance > Widgets >make sure that your custom widget areas are not empty. If you rename theme during update you may loose widgets and after update all the widget areas are messed up because of renaming. So, everything depends on how you did theme update.
