at each update, all the words I translated in French come back in English
Hello, Pierre,
Thank you for contacting us and for using XStore.
Translation files of the theme should be placed in /wp-content/languages/themes/ folder,
plugins, like Core plugin, in /wp-content/languages/plugins folder, then you will not lose translation after updates.
Do synchronization after each update – https://www.8theme.com/documentation/xstore/theme-translation/translation-files-update/
We hope this information is helpful.
Kind Regards,
8theme team
so I have to redo the translations? so I have to take the .po and .mo files and put it in the mentioned folder ? manually ?
here ? https://prnt.sc/Ge4BhqWgy4NE
Hello Pierre,
We recommend that you run a backup of your site before the update and then place your language files in the folder as indicated in the screenshot you provided and then update your theme and core plugin again. This should resolve the issue.
Alternatively, you have to redo your translation again.
Best Regards,
8Theme’s Team
