    Hello, @Nick,

Thanks for using our Theme and for contacting us.

Yes, I see the result. This kind of issue appears because the images we use for the products like it feature images and thumbnail images are not optimized versions. and the scale of the images is too high.

So in order to fix this issue, you have to use the optimized version of the images for the products. You can use any image optimization plugin for this at your own risk.

Also, you can optimize the images by yourself from an online tool. by doing this your issue will be resolved.

    Regards 8Themes Team.

Except for optimization, is it possible to use smaller images for the thumbnails? It would make the product page much faster

    Hello, @Nick,

Yes, You can use the smaller image for the thumbnails as well. It’s not a big deal. you can find a specific resolution by adding multiple images with different sizes and then check the result to pick a final image with its size and then upload the same size images for thumbnails into your store.

You can also, check the WooCommerce support forums to know more about the thumbnail images size like what is the best size of thumbnail images WooCommerce.

Is there a resource on what exact image sizes are used on different screens?

I have set the product images to be 950width, but on phones I see they are served as 1463×2048. On other phones, 1097×1536.

How can I know what images are served in different screens? I’m asking because I need to optimize the thumbnails as well.

    Hello, @Nick,

Actually, Images are used in many different locations across your website.

Here are the best image sizes for WordPress, depending on where you want to use them:

Blogpost images should be set to 1200 x 630 pixels.
WordPress header image size should be 1048 x 250 pixels
The featured image should be 1200 x 900 pixels in landscape mode or 900 x 1200 pixels if in portrait mode
Background images should be 1920 x 1080 pixels
Logo images should be 200 x 100 pixels
Thumbnail images should be set to 150 x 150 pixels

furthermore, Here are a few articles to know more about image sizes.
