Problem with translations: default.pot file missing.

    Afther downloading and installing the blanco theme, I tryed to translate it in polish with PoEdit. Problem is that default.pot file is missing and even if i create the polish file pl_PL.po some sentences appears in english.

    For exaple review tab on single product review:

    OPINIE (0) << TAB TITLE IS IN POLISH
    Opinie << TITLE IS IN POLISH TOO
    There are no reviews yet, would you like to submit yours? << THIS PART IS IN ENGLISH
    Be the first to review “Awesome Demo Watch” << THIS PART IS IN ENGLISH
    Rating << THIS PART IS IN ENGLISH
    Twoja opinia << THIS PART IS IN POLISH

    I tried to find if those sentences appear in other plugins po files with no results. the only file which contains those sentencese are the default.po and default.mo in blanco/language folder.

    How can i solve this problem ?

    I made this website fot a company. They are now disappointed. Tomorrow is exactly one week and NOTHING was made afther the topic question. They have a company and they can’t wait one week if something happens on the website. Please try solve the problem quickly otherwise they will ask for refund.

    Hello,

    Please take our apologies for delay.
    The problem with translation of the mentioned phrases is forwarded to our developer team to fix it in the nearest theme update. Meanwhile, as a temporary solution, I’ve made the necessary changes in the wp-content/themes/blanco/woocommerce/single-product-reviews.php file. Please check review tab on single product page now.

    Ok, thanks for answering. The problem is that not only this part was not translated.. for exaple in the home page if you look at the top you can see “shopping cart” and not “Koszyk” in Polish … This provided solution is just temporary because if woocommerce will be updated… and the single-product-reviews.php file will be changed… half of the page will come back in english.
    We will wait for the language files which can solve this problem definitevly.

    I noticed other 2 problems too:
    1 google map is not showed in the contact page.
    2 in the preview object Product Image Hover is not working.

    Hello,

    Thank you for notification. All problems with theme translation are forwarded to developer team to fix them.

    1 google map is not showed in the contact page.

    To make google map working you need use API key.
    Please read how to get it https://developers.google.com/maps/documentation/javascript/tutorials/adding-a-google-map#step_3_get_an_api_key .
    Then you need edit the file wp-content/themes/blanco/code/shortcodes.php, find the line 148 wp_enqueue_script('google.maps', 'http://maps.google.com/maps/api/js?sensor=false');, replace the code with this http://maps.google.com/maps/api/js?key=YOUR_API_KEY&sensor=false');, add your API key instead of “YOUR_API_KEY” text in the link.

    2 in the preview object Product Image Hover is not working.

    You need to set hover image for each product in product editor http://prntscr.com/etk5zf

    1 google map: i simply changed the value 1 to 0 to delete map and i added the map in the html place.
    2 product hover: Solved, thank you.

    The main problem is yet translation. my customer asks when will be (more or less) solved because really they need this website soon. Please tell me how long does it takes because if it takes too long, they will ask for refund.

    Hello,

    To fix translation issues on your site before theme update we need to be able to connect to your server via FTP, but we still can’t do it due to possible restrictions from a server side. Please re-check FTP credentials and disable IP address restriction in your hosting panel if it’s enabled. Thank you.

    I did not know that this server had IP restrictions to polish IP adresses. I just changed it so you can now connect. Sorry but i usually do not use this kind of servers … and i did not know that they hae such a restriction. It works now…

    PROBLEM IS NOT SOLVED! There is still problem with translations. Not everything is translated (translations are updated on pl_PL.po file but on the website they appears in english. If you try to buy something for example, some parts of menu are still in english. WE NEED THE POT FILE TO BE UPDATED … in that way we can easily change translation with LOCO TRANSLATE for exmaple or other programs. This is an Online shop. We can’t wait a lot and chceck everyting. When we find a NOT TRANSLATED PART, we have to be able to change/edit this translation. It is not possible to write all parts which are in english in this moment. I wanted to buy other licenses for other customers … but everyone is from Poland and i must tell them that it is not possible to support polish language on your theme. PLEASE we need a DEFINITIVE solution, so we need POT files to be able to change and edit english word quickli.

    The updated blanco.pot file has been uploaded to the wp-content/themes/blanco/languages directory. Please update your translation file and check the translation. Let us know if there are still any issues.

    Thank You for your support. with pot files now we can translate using LOCO TRANSLATE. Problem is partially solved. Most of the website is working but there are some english parts yet.

    EXAMPLES: http://gemarts.pl/kategoria-produktu/koszulki/ CATEGORIES should be KATEGORIE
    THE “LOST YOUR PASSWORD” SECTION IS NOT WORKING TOO. (translations are in polish .po file, you can chceck LOCO TRANSLATE) but website is showed in english.

    Hello,

    Please wait for a new theme update, it will be available in 2 days.
    You will be able to update theme and woocommerce translation files.
    To prevent losing translation place these files (blanco-pl_PL.mo and blanco-pl_PL.po) into the languages /wp-content/languages/themes/ folder (https://www.8theme.com/documentation/xstore/theme-translation/base-theme-translation/ it is for xstore, but for Royal the same).

    We did not touch anything. LOCO TRANSLATE PLUGIN was already installed.
    Are there any news about the update ? we’re still waiting..
    When the update will be installed?

    You can find the latest theme version on ThemeForest https://themeforest.net/item/blanco-responsive-wordpress-wooecommerce-theme/2755246
    Please update the theme to 3.6 version https://themeforest.net/item/blanco-responsive-wordpress-wooecommerce-theme/2755246.
    Before update delete “woocommerce” folder in the directory wp-content/themes/blanco/ and it’ll be reuploaded from a new theme package.
    Don’t forget to create back up of your files and database before starting update process!
