Problem with visual composer & section background images

Hi, I’m having a situation in regards to visual composer and unfortunately my developer is no longer supporting his work. So I’m here to ask for your help directly.

Our site’s homepage at http://gvca.org/ was setup using the shortcode mapper in order to create the sections with background images. The section backgrounds use image id’s instead of file names, which make it very difficult to locate and change images – something we’re required to do on a regular basis.

Our developer is telling us visual composer isn’t working right and to edit the shortcode in the classic editor when we want to change an image. But we want to use visual composer. That’s why we bought your theme, for the supposed ease of use.

Here is the code for the first section.

Is there an easier way to change background images of these sections? I can’t expect the office manager to locate image ids. It was supposed to be easier than this. Visual composer Version 4.12.1
Lagenda Version 2.11
Wordpress Version 4.6.1

Hello,

You’re using very old theme version. You need update it to 3.0.3 version.
Before update delete “woocommerce” folder in the directory wp-content/themes/legenda/ and it’ll be reuploaded from a new theme package.
Also update all required plugins https://www.8theme.com/download-plugins/ .

You will need to recreate some pages after theme update.
Also make sure you removed the folder “js_composer” in wp-content/themes/legenda directory.

Don’t forget to create back up of your files and database before starting update process!

I’ll need to recreate some pages after the update? This is a busy site, that won’t work. I guess we’ll have to find another way

Hello,

Yes, the pages where you used parallax background have to be recreated. This is required because Visual Composer was updated and their settings were changed. So recreate only the pages where parallax background is used.
