Product Images Thumbnail contained without Stretching or Cropping

Hello,

I would like to ensure that the entire product image thumbnail (in the product catalog) is contained within its container and is fully visible, without any parts being hidden.
The image should not be shown stretched or cropped. Images should fit while preserving the original aspect ratio.
I try to achive this with “object-fit” and other css configurations, but I am unable to achieve the desired result.

Could you kindly help me with this? Thank you very much in advance!
