Good afternoon xstore team,
I want ot know if there is a prebuilt theme option to add Product tags chips in between the breadcrumbs and the shop toolbar in the shop page.
Example here:
https://www.rabat.net/es/joyas.html
https://send.vis.ee/download/ea12dbef2a36b8b1/#TAleiHgiPv_AM7RGlLm-SQ
Otherwise, how can I achieve this? If the best way is to modify the child theme, cna you please point me in the correct file?
Best regards,
Jacobo
Hello,
Create a static block with the desired content – https://www.8theme.com/documentation/xstore/support/static-blocks/
Theme Options > WooCommerce > Shop > Shop page layout > Shop Page Banner Content > Text tab > add shortcode of the static block, and select Shop Page Banner Position

Hi Rose,
Thank you for your quick reply, but there is no Product tag in the static block editor as such. I would want it to be the Product tag name. When clicked, it should filter the shop to the products wich match the selected product tag.
Best

Hello,
Thanks for the reply.
Theme options > General > Enable Old Widgets Panel > On. Apperance > Widgets > create custom widget area > add Product tag cloud widget. Edit static block > add Widgetised Sidebar element > select your widget area.

Legend Rose !! Let me please extend this slighltly on the same topic. When in click on one of this product tags, the filter applies correctly and i guess i am going from the shop page to the tag page. What would be the equivalent “Shop Page Banner Content” for this new page. I want to be able to add a different widget for each tag page.
Cheers

Great Rose, that works fine.
Now I realised, that I cannot apply multiple filters at the same time.
i.e. If i select a product tag, I am redirected to this tag page but if I then apply an additional shop page filter (such as category), this removes the previous tag filter and I am redirected to the last – filtered category shop page.
How can I use multifilters please?
Best regards,
Jacobo
Hello,
Product tag cloud is not the filter widget. It displays just a list of tags and redirects to the tags page.
Besides, I can’t visit your site https://prnt.sc/20zl9bs

Hi, please see credentials in private.
I am wondering if there is anything else I can do. Perhaps a custom HTML widget or something else which allows me to multifilter with product tags too.
Best Regards,
Jacobo
I am starting to understand what is possible and what isn’t but please correct me if im wrong next:
Multifilters only apply on product attributes, not categories or tags because these are links. Correct? This is what i found at least on my shop page, because I applied a category filter but if i apply a second filter on an a attribute, the first was removed.
Then I see this demo example and it does work, so I am missing something here

Yes.
You may look for third-party filter plugins to implement filters by categories and tags.
