I enabled the popup and cannot see the X to close the popup.
When I hover my mouse in the top right corner, I can see my pointer change and I can click to close it. But visitors won’t know that.
The image I have uploaded has white color in the top right – is that why it’s not visible, because the X is white? If so, I need to know how to change the color of the X depending on the image being used for the popup.
Also, how can I change the color of the text used for the overlay? I’m trying to use white since the text is displaying on a dark background.
Thanks!
Mike
Hello,
Please provide us with a link to your site and specify what text color exactly you need to change.
Thank you.

Hi Eva,
The link to the website is below.
I removed the popup for now because visitors were emailing asking how to close it.
I have attached the image below so you can see the color in the top right corner – it’s mostly white.
And as far as the text color, I would like it to be dark so it contrasts with the white background. Black would be a fine color for the X in the top right corner.
For the overlay text, I would like to use white text since it is a dark background.
Looking forward to your feedback.
Thanks,
Mike
Hello,
We need to view pop up block to be able to provide you with the correct code for customization.
Could you please enable it?
Thank you.

Hi Eva,
I have enabled the popup – please look at it right away and get back to me ASAP because visitors get stuck at the popup without knowing how to close it.
Thanks,
Mike
Hello,
As I see the cross icon is visible:
But if you still want to change its color you need edit this image http://pomphomecom.c.presscdn.com/wp-content/themes/legenda/images/black_cross.png that is used for “x” close icon.
You can do this with some image editor.
The text color can be changed with this code which you need add into custom.css file:
#etheme-popup label, .white-popup-block label {
color: #000 !important;
}
How to create custom.css you watch in this tutorial.
Thank you.

Hi Eva,
I added that to the image itself so that visitors wouldn’t get stuck on that popup and leave the site.
I will take a look at your instructions and let you know if I have any questions.
Thanks,
Mike
Hello,
Ok. Let us know if there are any questions.

Hi Eva,
I just noticed that the popup is not resizing on my mobile phone, so the X is not visible and we have the same problem as before.
#1 – the X is not showing up at all.
#2 – the popup is not responsive
Can you please check on your mobile device to see and please let me know how to resolve this issue. It is still not resolved – and to reiterate, the built-in X is not showing on the image – I had to create the X image on the graphic itself. You’ll see when you look on your phone.
Looking forward to your feedback.
Thanks,
Mike
Hello,
As I see the path for original cross icon is wp-content/themes/legenda-pomp/images/black_cross.png in your pop up. Have you made any changes in the files? Do you have such folder legenda-pomp?
Please provide us with wp-admin panel and FTP credentials.
Thank you.
Regards,
Eva Kemp.
