    Hello,

Really nice theme… but more I go further in my project, more I meet… surprises !

Suddenly, the Quick View is not active on the Shop page. I can see the button but no more effect when I click on it, no pop up anymore ! The Add to Wishlist action is still ok. I try with many browsers, same result. It’s very strange because until now, no problem with Quick View.

Urgent help will be really appreciated, thanks

    Further informations :

I checked all my website project, and I have troubles with all about jquery / javascript / Ajax… For example : Quick View (no pop-up), Mobile Menu (not unfolded when I clik on, stay closed), FAQ (accordion tabs stay closed too), images with CSS animations are disappeared…

I didn’t do something special today : no new plugin, no css changes… just PO file translation !

Could it be a server problem ? Or anything else ? Until today, all these troubles didn’t exist.

Urgent help is needed if possible, thank you a lot

    Thanks Robert for reply.

But I got it and I can’t believe it !!

When I did the translation in French of my website, I had added the both French PO and MO files in the language theme directory. Now, I just deleted the MO file (and let the PO)… and all is ok at new !!!

How a little file like this can create such problem ??!

    I feel released anyway.

Sorry but still a big problem : translation doesn’t work without MO file.
And if I put MO file… troubles strike back.

My wp-config.php is well set to French
    define(‘WPLANG’, ‘fr_FR’);

    What can I do ?

    Hello,

Please read our documentation carefully: https://www.8theme.com/demo/docs/royal/#!/0_how_to_translate .
    Pay attention to this paragraph:

    Next edit wp-config.php located in the root folder of WordPress and use the $locale with prefix with your language name which should be similar to the translation file name. For example: $locale=’de_DE’;

You need use $locale='fr_FR'; instead of define(‘WPLANG’, ‘fr_FR’); in wp-config.php file.

    Thank you.
    Regards,
    Eva Kemp.

Ok, I did the change in the wp-config.php : same result.
Translation is activated, but troubles about jquery-ajax-javascript still remain…
You can have a look now, admin access in the private content of my previous message.

    Hello,

Have you made any changes to original theme files? There are errors in .js file.
Please try to re-update the theme and create a back up before.

    Thank you.

    Eva Kemp.

    Hi,

No changes at all, even in css.
I had already try to update the theme and I did it again, no effect.

If I put PO and MO (French) files in the language theme directory, translation is ok, but javascript-jquery-ajax troubles are beginning.

If I delete the MO file, troubles go away. But no translation.

    You can try by yourself.

What’s the link between translation files and javascript-jquery-ajax ?
    What can I do ?

    Thanks, regards

    Hello @BrownLeopard,

I’ve deactivate 3rd-party plugins and quick view has started working. So please try to disable them one by one to find out what plugin creates a conflict.

    Thank you.

    Hello,

As you’re using French language for the translation apostrophes are used there. This may create a conflict in scripts. We recommend you to replace apostrophes with special symbols http://www.ascii.cl/htmlcodes.htm

    Thank you.
    Regards,
    Eva Kemp.

    Hello Eva,

Thanks for your help and trying to find a solution.
But I did not used “apostrphes” in my translation.

    Do you means “accented letters” as “à â é è ô”…???

Anyway, it’s the first time that I get this kind of troubles with PO/MO files.
So I’m really surprised, never experienced that before with many others themes.

    Regards

    Hello,

Yes, I mean the “accented letters”. The problem is caused by them.
    Try to use special symbols.

    Thank you.
    Regards,
    Eva Kemp.
