Hi Rose,
I have noticed in my error log that when googlebot crawls our site it generates lots of errors with really simple captcha due to images which don’t exist in the RSC folder, I’ve searched for them but they are not there. Would you know what is happening here?
My logging is done with WP Cerber (live traffic) plugin and here is a screenshot

Hello,
Please change permissions to 777 for “tmp” folder in the directory /woopress/framework/inc/really-simple-captcha.
Regards
Hi Rose, sorry for the delay.
I already changed the tmp folder permissions to 777 because I read that in this forum.
Still the googlebot captcha error persists many times most days: eg:
8th May 2018, 10:45 am https://werone.co/eng/wp-content/themes/woopress/framework/inc/really-simple-captcha/tmp/414494499.png
GET HTTP 404 Not Found 3193 ms Details

crawl-66-249-66-207.googlebot.com Unknown
User agent
Googlebot-Image/1.0
I have looked in the server error log for this event:
[Tue May 08 10:45:38.193489 2018] [:error] [pid 7139] [client 66.249.66.207:41331] PHP Warning: fread() expects parameter 2 to be long, string given in /var/www/html.werone/eng/wp-content/plugins/woocommerce/includes/class-wc-geo-ip.php on line 1392

Actually this error ocurrs for every ip address, not just googlebot, but only google bot generates the Really Simple Captcha error.
Have you any ideas?
Many thanks

Hello,
Please let us know what PHP version do you use. Could you please provide temporary wp-admin access?
Regards
Hi Rose,
the PHP is 5.6, access to admin is below,
many thanks!

Hello,
These images are temporary images for the captcha, the system generates them for some time and removes.
But you need to disallow /wp-content/themes folder for the googlebot. Add the rule to disallow to your roboots.txt file https://themeisle.com/blog/optimize-wordpress-robots-txt-file/ .
