Reduce Space Between NEW PRODUCTS and SALE ITEMS carousels on Home Page?

How can I reduce the white space between NEW PRODUCTS and SALE ITEMS carousels on the home page? I tried editing the home page html but it seems to be a CSS issue.

I would like the carousels to be closer together. I should mention that I’m using Magento but have been unable to get any support on that part of the forum in three weeks. But assuming it’s somewhat similar code for both implementations, I’ll take whatever information you can provide.
