Related and Up-sell product position - by finleydesign

Hi, Could really do with moving and also reducing the overall size of the related and up-sell products

1. Need them to move to just below the main product description, as our sidebar is so long they are to far down and the client doesn’t want to put them in the side bar

2. Can we reduce the overal size, as they look massive at present

Hello,

1. Go to Theme Options > Single Product Page > Location of upsell products > After Content.

2. To give you correct code for decreasing the size we need to see your site. Could you please give us access to it?

Hi, the setting is already set to after content, however it still places it below everything, and not the content, I can reduce the size to be honest, it was really how to move it

Hello,

The problem is your sidebar is too long. You have to decrease it for single product pages.
Please try it.

How is that possible, the related and upsells have been set as full width and to go under the sidebar, if I reduce the sidebar how will this shrink the related to the size and place it under the content text?

Hi, any news on this, I don’t believe what your saying is correct, I can not reduce the sidebar as it contains everything we need, I just need the Related and Upsells to be “after the content” not “at the bottom of everything

Still no news, your reducing the sidebar doesn’t work, as the related products are still below sidebar and not below the content as stated

Hello,

Sidebar is a part of the content where product image and product information are displayed. So related products are shown after the whole content (if your sidebar is too long so the content has such height because sidebar is included into the product content).
You can add less items to sidebar on single product page or disable it and show only on Shop page.

Right so its not after content, and sidebar isn’t part of the content either, how am I suppose to say to my clients, oh you know the related products are miles away from the product information, well you need to reduce the number of categories you have, makes noe sense

Sure you are able to shrink this down and float it to the right so it is “under content” not under sidebar

Hello,

I’ve edited the file content-single-product.php and moved it to your child theme directory public_html/dev/tempphg/wp-content/themes/woopress-child/woocommerce. I’ve commented the line 177 and added the code <?php if(etheme_get_option('show_related')) woocommerce_output_related_products(); ?> in line 156. Please enable related products in Theme Options and check their position now.

Sorry just tested this, it was not just the related but the up-sell, the client is having to rely more on the upsell then related to be honest as the related didn’t make any sense!

Hi, sorry just noticed this gets all messy on mobile, and doesn’t seem to matter what I do with CSS i can’t get it to go below the product details and other tab info etc
