    Hi,

I was reading through the below article as I will like to deactivate Google web fonts from XStore theme.

    https://www.8theme.com/topic/remove-dequeue-fonts-googleapis-com-from-header-and-instead-loading-fonts-directly-from-the-site/

The reason for this is that EU and Germany where I am based forbid the use of Google web fonts as per GDPR regulations. My question is where can I locate the “child functions.php” and add the below code

    add_filter( ‘elementor/frontend/print_google_fonts’, ‘__return_false’ );

    Kind regards,
    Austin

    Hello,

You can added the code into xstore-child/functions.php via FTP, or install any Snippet plugin and add your code in one of the snippets
    Example plugin: https://wordpress.org/plugins/code-snippets/

No luck, it doesn’t work. can I send my admin details for you to check. I have installed Code Snippet and added code but it is not blocking google fonts.

    Kind regards,
    Austin

    Hello,

Yes, please provide temporary wp-admin and FTP access, so we can take a closer look at the situation on your site.
Also, provide screenshots of where exactly you added the code and where exactly you see/test the fonts.
wp-admin access: Create an account via Dashboard (Users > Add new) with administrator role http://prntscr.com/s3rc9m > provide us with username and password via the Private Content area http://prntscr.com/s5mao7 You can use any email for it.
ftp access: If you do not know how to create FTP contact with your hosting provider, they will help you.

    Regards

    Hello,

It is good for us that you shared the resuts of your work and it’s really good that you found the correct plugin for that and add your code in the correct places.
About checking google fonts on your web-site we can tell you that they were added lately on it and could be cached because if to check it right now then there are only one google font on your web-site -> https://prnt.sc/PZtL7iG10aLJ which comes from one of your plugins -> Ultimate GDPR & CCPA but you should check it.

    Regards

    Hello,

    You’re welcome!

Have you cleared all cache? Try another tester also.

    Regards
