Hi, I setup prices in woocommerce to be calculated without a tax because that works in my case. I found the progress bar to work correctly and be synchronized with woocommerce free shipping settings must be calculated without a tax or in the base of subtotal instead of the total.
I’m asking, is there a possibility to change that and how?
Hello, Manchovski,
We would appreciate it if you could provide us with temporary WordPress admin and FTP access so that we can take a closer look.
Thank you for your cooperation.
Kind Regards,
8theme team
Hi, in the private area, you’ll find the FTP access. To test the progress bar, you should put some goods in the cart, but the subtotal must be under £199. Then you put an address on which the tax will be calculated and added to the total, which will exceed the limit of £199. Then you’ll notice that the progress bar approves the free shipping instead of the cart, which not approves because the subtotal is not exceeding £199.
Thank you
Dear, Manchovski,
1/ Thanks for FTP access, but we can’t connect:
Error: Connection timed out after 20 seconds of inactivity
Error: Failed to retrieve directory listing
Please try to connect to FTP using FileZilla by yourself.
Is there a restriction by IP or something else?
2/ Provide wp-admin access. Create an account via Dashboard (Users > Add new) with administrator role. Refer to the following image for guidance: http://prntscr.com/s3rc9m
3/ Please provide screenshots to illustrate your problem, for a better understanding. You can use screenshot tools such as Lightshot or Gyazo and share the links here. Alternatively, you can use a file sharing service such as WeTransfer https://wetransfer.com/.
Thank you for your cooperation and we look forward to hearing from you soon.

Hi, I put a new ftp server in the private content area, which I tested and it is working, and here the link with the screenshots: https://we.tl/t-kq1o7UUXXC

Dear, Manchovski,
Thank you for the reply.
We need wp-admin access also.
To provide wp-admin access, you can create a new user account with administrator role via the Dashboard, and provide us with the username and password via the Private Content area.

Hi, you’ll find the administrative credentials in the private content area.
Best regards.
Hello, Manchovski,
We will have another specialist review your inquiry in greater detail and will be in touch with you shortly. We kindly ask for your patience and request that you do not alter any access settings.

Hi, I found that there was no tax rate for Australia, on which the system could not trigger the addition of the taxes and raise the issue. So now I put it, and you should try to retake the same test, and you’ll see the difference.
Thank you
Greetings.
Dear, Manchovski,
Please clear cache and check how it works now.

Hi, the issue persists in the mini-cart off-canvass.
Instead, in the cart, the problem is solved.
Then I will need to know how to implement the solution on the live version of the website, as this one is only for debugging purposes.
Thank you,
Greetings.
Dear, Manchovski,
Fixed. Please check now.

Hi,
I tested the progress bar and found one more consideration to take. The website uses multiple currencies, and the free shipping is set up to £199. When a client uses a different currency than the sterling pound, woocommerce considers the exchange rate, and free shipping will not be activated at, for example, $199 or €199. Still, it will always be activated at £199 multiplied per exchange rate. Instead, the progress bar promotes free shipping at 199, whatever the currency is.

Thank you,

Dear, Manchovski,
Do you use an additional plugin to add multiple currencies? What exactly plugin? Please let us know.

Dear, Manchovski,
Please clear cache and check how it works now. Let us know the results of your test.

Hi,
I don’t use any additional plugins for multi-currencies, I use only WooCommerce plugin with the extension WooCommerce Payments, and in the WooCommerce Settings, I’ve enabled Multi-Currencies.
I’ve cleared the cache, and the Progress bar still doesn’t work as expected.
Kind regards.
Dear, Manchovski,
Thank you for your response.
We would appreciate it if you could provide a more detailed explanation, including screenshots and videos, regarding the issue with the Progress bar not working as expected after clearing the cache. Our development team has made some changes and we expect the behavior of the Progress bar to be improved as a result. Your detailed reply will be of great assistance in helping us to help you.

Hi,
I’m sorry, but I must ask you, don’t you follow the whole conversation, and after you make some changes, don’t you test yourself to see if the problem persists or is solved? After all, you have full access to the website.
The problem is the same and persists, as I explained in the replay from March 15, 2023, at 9:39 am, which I report here below.

Dear, Manchovski,
Thank you for your response.
We make a few improves and tested it again with next results:
Pounds (default currency)
https://prnt.sc/-WbtGduDsML4
Subtotal price is 146.39
The free shipping price value in the option set to 199 and on the screenshot was shown just as a difference 199-146.39=52.61 – which is correct
EUR
https://prnt.sc/qY39zstvD0FV
Subtotal price is already 169.00 (according to the exchange rate)
Free shipping price value in option is still set to 199 but according to the other currency used by customer we make recalculation of this value to the EUR value (for example) using WooCommerce Multi-currency base function (same as they use for all cases) -> https://prnt.sc/2M6_M1xa3w58
so 199 was “manually” changed to ~226.47 and correctly shows the difference 226.47-169=57.47
The same way it works for all other currencies, so please, check it from your side now and provide us feedback of your tests.
If the calculation is still wrong, we would like to know your ideas about how should it be done.
Kind Regards,
8theme team
Hi, I tested the progress bar, and it works as expected. You’ve done excellent work. But with the last changes you’ve made, another problem is rising. See the images below.
Kind regards.
Hello, Manchovski,
We are pretty sure that our changes we made don’t create such problems so we dug inside the issues and here are the results:
1/ After we tried to go to Shop from Cart page we noticed that page does not load -> https://prnt.sc/29lJTJGnpjFM
2/ By checking the Shop page from pages edit tab we found that you made your Shop page with Elementor editor -> https://prnt.sc/Lh2tCX4xoZFW . Note: You should not make Shop page or any other archives pages editing with page builders because it is not allowed and causes errors.
3/ After we switched the editor to default -> https://prnt.sc/AHKSseH17zFj page loads normally -> https://prnt.sc/mJHmwjkE6Aj0

Hi,
The issue is solved; one more question, please. Will the settings you’ve made recently persist with future theme updates when you release them?
Thank you again.
Kind regards.
Hello, Manchovski,
You are always welcome.
Yes, it will be included in the next update.
