Search funcion popular searches and translate “type here…”

How can I remove Popular searches? Right now it says google amazon etc and that is not really relevant to my site, so I would just like to remove it.
Also where can I translate “type here…”

Trending Searches and Placeholder Text can be changed via Theme options > Header Builder > Search.
