We have the site set up with quite a few pages and very few blog posts. When you enter a search query into the search field in the top navigation or the sidebar option, no results are returned. Search queries we have tried are in the titles of the pages and spread through out the pages, but yield no results. We even tried adding plugins such as relevanssi in an attempt to produce results for the pages with no success. Looking at the forums we have tried multiple work arounds with no success, any help would be appreciated.

Again the question is- why are the search queries producing no results and how can we be sure that pages are searched / included in the returned results?

    Hey Robert,

thanks for the reply. Again, what we are trying to do is make sure that the search bar returns results for page titles as well as posts.

    Hello,

Our search form works for Woocommerce products. As I see you don’t even have Woocommerce plugin installed. If you wish you can try to use some plugin for search form and replace it with our form.

    Thank you.
    Regards,
    Eva Kemp.

Why would the search work for only woocommerce products and not for pages and posts? I have read in the forums that by default wordpress searches for pages and posts. Can you give me directions to put that functionality back into the theme, or can you do it for us?

We have also tried using other plugins..Relevancy, and 2 or 3 others, and no results were found. Hence, it seems that the page or post search function has been removed from the royal theme. This is incredibly inconvenient. May I suggest that the next update to the theme, this functionality be included as it is a core function of wordpress and should not require a plugin to work.

Can you please help get this page/post functionality into the search? Our client depends on this.

    thanks,
    G

    Hello,

The theme is oriented to Woocommerce. That’s why search form is available for products with Woocommerce plugin.
You can try to replace standard search form with some plugin. If you have difficulties with replacement we can help you.

    Sorry for inconveniences.

    Regards,
    Eva Kemp.

    Eva,
Thank you. Can you help me get search plugin to work? Any one you recommend will be fine. Relevancy looks like the best free one. I just need to get this thing able to search pages. the Login is in The private comments on the first comment.

    best,
    G
