Hi,
I’ve puschased XStore a couple of days ago. I’ve installed it today at my localhost and followed all the requirements. Even though I’m not able to go through step 2, it still says that my server configuration doesn’t follow the requirements and I don’t have the chat window neither.
I’ve tried to install the theme twice but it’s still the same…
It won’t be a problem for me to install the theme manually, in fact I did. But, I’m not able to enable the child theme and even links on header menu are not working properly. When I click on home link it redirects me to the default theme home, not the template I’ve chosen.
By the way, I’ve chosen the Medical template.
Kind regards,
Álvaro
Hello,
If you faced that notice during Setup Wizard it means that WP does not have enough permissions to write, read or execute.
We include child theme archive in theme package. Also, you can find child theme archive here https://www.8theme.com/download-plugins/
Download it and install and activate it like any WP theme via Appearance > Themes.
If link in your menu goes to wrong home page then go to Appearance > Menus edit the main menu and change the Home item to the page you need.
If you need any other assistance just let me know.
Regards
Hello again,
I gave 777 permissions to all that wordpress folder and subfolders as a desperation messure, so it shouldn’t be about permissions…
Child theme problem is already solved. The thing was that I was trying to change from main theme to child theme while I should deactivate main theme first.
And the home redirection too, thank you.
The only thing left is still the Setup Wizard,
Regards.
P.S.: I’m using xampp 5.6.30 if it helps.
Hello,
Sometimes even 777 does not give the necessary result, it’s related to user permissions.
Anyway, everything that Setup Wizard has you can do without it just in different order.
Following steps below:
1) Theme installation
2) Child theme installation
3) Installation of plugins (Appearance > Install plugins)
4) Theme Activation (Theme Options)
4) Demo content import (Theme Options > Import/Export > choose theme version or additional pages you want to import)
You can do this without the wizard.
Regards
