Shop page issue, product slider, multiple sidebar, white screen

Hi,

I recently just purchase the theme and so far is working very great for me, thanks!
I’m working on a supplement shop, and my products comes with Brand and Categories. In the shop page, I am able to see my Product Categories on the left sidebar and my products on the right content area, the issue I’m having:

1. How do I remove the categories selection on the right side content? It shows all my categories, then my products, I just want to show products. I went to Theme Options/Products Page Layout and disable Show Products Category and no luck, nothing changed. But when I selected 4 products per row, it shows the Category big boxes takes up 3 grid per row, and the products able to take 4 grid per row

2. Am I able to create another Category sidebar just for my Brands? I want Brands and Categories to be separated. Furthermore am I able to create more than one sidebar for different tags? My supplement products can be intake or external use, I want to separate them. Or should I take the approach of include them as Categories? Am I able to rearrange the categories listing?

3. Product slider, I got email from support before I purchase the theme, demo link: https://www.8theme.com/demo/xstore/organic/
May I know where do I select this slider? Do I need to install WooCommerce Product Slider? Furthermore Can I create Product Slider base on their Categories and Brands? This is very important for me to create multiple product sliders for product selection

4. Lastly I am working on the theme with MAMP, however I kept having white screen for any update I did. I have kept refreshing the site or enter the dashboard page to view the site. Some pages I wasn’t able to view at all and kept showing white screen. I have already increased the Memory to 1024MB in wp-config but still no help, what’s causing this?

Hello,

1. Go to Woocommerce > Settings > Products > Display > Shop Page Display, select “Show products”.

2. Sidebar on Shop page is only one, you can add more sidebars, only more widgets. You can do this in Appearance > Widgets > Shop Sidebar. To add Brands to sidebar, at first create brands in Products > Brands, assign them to products and add “8theme – Brands Filter” to Shop Sidebar. To re-arrange categories, go to Products > Categories and drag categories in the order you need. Then go to Appearance > Widgets > Shop Sidebar and add Woocommerce Product Categories widget, in the field “Order by” you need choose “Category Order”.

3. Have you bought XStore theme or Royal?

4. Try to enable debug mode in wp-config.php file https://codex.wordpress.org/Debugging_in_WordPress and check if there are any errors on the site. Let us know the result.

Thanks Eva!

1. Got it, was tricky to find it from there lol

2. Got it, so does this mean we can only have Brand Categories and Product Categories? I can’t create extra cateogories? such as for attributes or tag?

3. and 4. I bought the Royal Theme, and I imported “minimal” as my demo and working from there, I can see the home page got “New Arrivals” product slider, this is the feature I want. And I want to create multiple product slider base on their Brands, Featured, New Arrivals, On Sale…etc, is it possible? I installed WooCommerce Product Slider and was hoping to do similar things, and that causes the white screen issue, once I disable this plugin, the white screen problem stopped.

Further questions:

5. How do I remove the sidebar for every new page I am creating?

6. Whats the ideal size for product image? Do I need to make multiple size for thumbnails/actual size/for slider etc? Or just one standard size?

Hello,

2. You can create attributes in Products > Attributes and show them in sidebar using “Woocommerce Layered Nav” widget. Please note in this case attributes should be assigned to variable products https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/variable-product/ .

3./4. You can use Products element in Visual Composer editor to display products in grid or slider.

5. Edit a page and on the right side you’ll see “Page Layout” box, select “Without Sidebar” for “Sidebar Position” field.

6. You can use one size. Your original image should be 1,425px × 1,900px approximately.

Hi Eva,

for 3.4. there is no slider option for Products
it just layouts all in a page

Please use 8theme Products element, not Woo products.
