Hi, I tried to update the Shop page and encountered an Error with Elementor saying that it could not open the page for editing. Elementor suggested I try opening the page in Safe mode. However, doing this just showed a blank page.

I created a new Shop page but the Shop Sidebar does not show all the Filters as originally. There is no Price Filter or Product Status.

In addition to this, I cannot enable the Sort By/Grid Filter.

Are you able to provide the Original Shop Page template so I can import it? If not can you let me know possible solution.

    Please, contact administrator
    for this information.

    Hello, Kon,

Thank you for getting in touch with us.

1/ The shop page is a catalog page for products that cannot be edited using Elementor by default.
If you are using Elementor Pro, please refer to the plugin documentation for instructions on how to edit the shop page: https://elementor.com/help/creating-a-woocommerce-archive-template/.

Elementor plugin has 2 versions: free and Pro. Elementor plugin author does not offer a developer license for the Pro version and does not allow to built-in Pro version of plugin to themes. So, you are able to use the free version of the Elementor but in case you want to get the Pro version you will need to buy an individual license, our theme supports Elementor Pro, but questions about Elementor Pro functionality you need to forward to authors of the plugin.

Elementor Pro is not required to edit the product archive (Shop) in our theme. All settings you can find in Theme Options > WooCommerce.

2/ WooCommerce widgets work fine only on the default Shop page.
It is independent of our theme.

We hope this information is helpful.

    Kind Regards,
    8theme team

Hi Rose. Thanks for your response.

I have Elementor Pro as this was the advice given to other 8Theme clients, but this did not resolve the issues. I understand this is not your problem but being able to provide your clients with a file they can Import into their stores would be a great help.

In my instance, I re-created the Shop page but as described the filters are not working as was the case with the default Shop page. If you can advise me as to which 8Theme filters/widgets were used as part of the Shop page would be very helpful.

    Regards,
    Kon

    Hello, Kon,

    Thank you for your response.

If you are using Elementor Pro, you need to contact support of the plugin.

What exactly import file do you mean?

E-commerce filters (widgets) from the WooCommerce plugin and from our theme can work only on the default Shop page (+ pages of categories and brands). If you want to change it, try to contact WooCommerce support – https://wordpress.org/support/plugin/woocommerce/
There is no ready solution from our theme side, unfortunately.
Additional customization in files is outside the scope of our basic support.
You can contact our partners with a request about additional customization service, the Codeable team, who will perform your task quickly and with high quality – https://codeable.io/?ref=qGTdX

    Kind Regards,
    8theme team
