    Hi,

I imported the Animal demo theme and customised it. I notice that it is trying to load https://www.8theme.com/import/xstore/wp-content/uploads/2016/05/author-new.jpg/ but is getting a 401 error. I cannot figure out where/how to edit the single blog post template so that will load an image from my domain as the new author image, instead of trying to connect to 8theme.

    Can you please assist.

    Thank you in advance.

    Hello,

Provide us with link to page where you have that missing image in the page HTML, please.
Post author image uses Gravatar, it should not use image from import.

    Regards

    Hi,

I’m assuming you are referring to the Appearance menu option in the main sidebar menu of the admin panel, correct?

I’ve gone to Appearance > Widgets but I do not see an Author widget. The only widgets available are:

    Right side top bar area
    Mobile sidebar area
    Top panel
    Header banner
    Pre Footer Area
    Footer Column 1
    Footer Copyrights Left
    Footer Copyrights Right
    Main Sidebar
    Left side top bar area
    Shop Sidebar
    Inactive widgets

I’ve also tried from the Main sidebat menu:
XStore > Theme Options > Widgets. Then I navigated to a blog post page, since those are the pages that has the issue. The following is displayed:

Your theme has 12 other widget areas, but this particular page doesn’t display them.

You can navigate to other pages on your site while using the Customiser to view and edit the widgets displayed on those pages.

    Main Sidebar
    Pre Footer Area
    Footer Column 1
    Footer Copyrights Left
    Footer Copyrights Right

    Nothing about an author.

    Hello,

Yes, I’m talking about WP menu Appearance > Widgets > Main Sidebar > find widget there. Do you use Classic widgets interface (Theme Options > General > enable Classic widgets) or the new one?

    Hi,

As per my original response, no, I do not see any mention of the widget anywhere. I also described where I looked and what I found.

Currently this is off. Is that why I’m not seeing the “Author widget”?

I finally figured out what DOM element caused the issue. I also enabled the legacy widgets, and although I disabled them again, I now see many more widgets available. With your help, and inspecting the DOM of the page, I could find the offending sidebar widget and remove the legacy author widget that was causing the issue.

    Thank you for the guidance.

    Regards
