We had planned on using Judge.me for our reviews so we can utilize them off our site as well (See https://wordpress.org/plugins/judgeme-product-reviews-woocommerce/). They have a woocommerce plugin that in any theme we’ve tested, including Xstore, it automatically replaces the reviews with theirs, no coding required.
This 3rd party review plugin works perfectly as it should with the default templates your team has created under WooCommerce -> Single Product Page.
We began to test the custom single product builder due to a different issue we were working through (https://www.8theme.com/topic/disable-xstore-lightbox-in-theme-options/#post-373655) and I am thinking the call to get reviews must work differently because the 3rd party plugin no longer replaces the woocommerce ratings in this type of page. I am wondering if the code calls reviews differently on the custom page? Any suggestions is appreciated. Thankyou for your continued help.
Hello, Thedeancorp,
Thank you for contacting us and for using XStore.
We can’t log in. Please check.
Please note that we do not give a guarantee for full theme compatibility with all existing 3rd party plugins. Sometimes, not always, you need additionally customize the theme or plugin to make them work together. Unfortunately, it’s not possible for the author to make the theme compatible with all the existing plugins and additional customization is outside the scope of our basic support.
Please provide FTP access also, so we can check what can be done to help you.
Kind Regards,
8theme team
Thankyou Rose. I understand it may not be compatible and appreciate you looking into it. Please see ftp info in the private area.
I have deactivated everything but the theme, WooCommerce, elementor, xstore core & the judge.me plugin.
I currently have the single product builder active, but you will see if you switch it to the prebuilt templates, it works seamless replacing the built in review section.
Hello, Thedeancorp,
We went through the codes of Judge.me plugin and I found the following shortcodes:
– [jgm-review-widget] : review widget form
– [jgm-all-reviews] : reviews listing
Shortcodes can be added to the shortcode element to make the plugin work.
A full list of shortcodes on this screenshot – https://prnt.sc/NhDxv1jcBJCU
We’ve activated Single Product Builder (new one) https://prnt.sc/zVTdc4r0MuLt and added the shortcode, please check now – https://prnt.sc/uakJmh7T4xBg > https://prnt.sc/TOQwxMxVtbVM > https://prnt.sc/TtzTJxzBdu4x
