Dear 8theme team,
On our site, we sometimes have problems with products being in the cart. Sometimes, dependent on which combination of products we add, the cart and checkout page stop working (critical error). The memory limit cannot be increased further and we’re already on the higest performing shared hosting plan from our (big) hosting company. How can we fix this? Do you have experience with it? Can you check out our configuration to see potential bottlenecks or give us some recommendations?
Very best,
Timo
Hello, @TSpinde,
Thank you for contacting us and for using XStore.
1/ To better understand the issue you are experiencing, we kindly request that you record a video demonstrating your actions and the problem. Please upload this video to any file-sharing service and provide us with the link.
2/ We suggest disabling all third-party plugins (including cache plugins, optimizing plugins, and CDN ) that do not come bundled with XStore (https://xstore.helpscoutdocs.com/article/36-included-plugins ), clearing the cache of the browser, and then checking again. It is possible that one of the additional plugins is causing the issue.
If the issue still persists, please keep all third-party plugins deactivated on your site and grant permission to debug your site, which includes deactivating all third-party plugins and on-site Customization. This will allow us to investigate and assist you accordingly.
Please note that you should take a complete backup of your site before proceeding.
We appreciate your cooperation and look forward to resolving your query promptly.
Best Regards,
8Theme’s Team
Dear 8theme team,
thank you. You can find the video here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1c1zrfV4mvDOAqCkYXzXfMm5CzB9_ZZyO/view?usp=sharing. The problem is visible from 9:50.
I have deactivated all external caching (cache plugins, optimizing plugins, and CDN) plugins. However, I did not deactivated all other plugins, since especially WooCommerce is of course part of the workflow here.
When checking it out, feel free to deactivate anything or change anything around, I have made a full backup. The credentials I already sent when opening this tread. You have full permission to try anything. We have seen the same issue appear on many devices.
Very best and thank you for your help,
Timo
Dear Timo,
We hope this message finds you well.
Please accept our apologies for the delayed response due to the weekend.
In order to further investigate, debug, and resolve the issue, we kindly request access to your FTP accounts. Could you please provide us with the following details:
– FTP Host
– FTP Username
– FTP Password
– FTP Port
– FTP Encryption Type
If you need assistance in setting up these credentials, your hosting provider should be able to guide you through the process.
We appreciate your cooperation and look forward to your prompt response.
Thank you for your understanding and support.
Best regards,
8Theme’s Team
Sure, here are the credentials.
Dear @TSpinde,
We hope this message finds you well.
We have conducted tests by creating two test orders but were unable to replicate the issue on our end. Additionally, we reviewed the debug.log file and did not detect any fatal errors.
However, upon further inspection of the debug-old.log file, we identified a fatal error related to the B2B Market plugin:
[16-Jul-2024 13:09:07 UTC] PHP Fatal error: Uncaught DivisionByZeroError: Division by zero in /www/htdocs/w01c1c47/Bodenseeliebe_neu/wp-content/plugins/b2b-market/src/class-bm-show-discounts.php:232
Could you kindly test the system again and confirm whether the issue has been resolved?
Thank you for your cooperation.
Best regards,
8Theme Team
Hi!
It seems like allocating more memory space has resolved the issue, but now we have another problem: If I add products to the cart, sometimes, they don’t get added. It’s like clicking add to cart, says added, but then doesnt do anything, and you have to add it again. Sounds very likely like a caching issue – we are already on the top premium plan from our ( well-knonw, not budget) hosting company, something else must be off.
Did you encounter this before? How could we lighten up the load that added products have on the cart? I have not seen it with other themes.
Very best,
Timo
If it helps you, there is a https://bodensee-liebe.com/phpinfo.php available 🙂
Dear @TSpinde,
We hope this message finds you well.
We guess the issue you are experiencing may be related to cache settings. Could you kindly confirm if any cache plugins are installed on your website? If so, we would appreciate it if you could temporarily disable them and monitor the situation again.
At the moment, we are unable to replicate the issue on our end. All products appear to be added to the cart correctly, requiring only a single attempt.
Thank you for your attention to this matter. We look forward to your feedback.
Best regards,
The 8Theme Team.
