Site loads brutally slow with Royal theme

What tips do you have to improve site load time with Royal them. I notice it with all sites I use it on. Very slow. 8 seconds up to 20 seconds.

I know plugins can be an issue and have disabled many to test with minimal improvement.

I found a culprit file. Can you tell me what this is for as it seems to be unable to load:

http://nitromindgolf.com/wp-admin/admin-ajax.php

Also there’s another file producing an error when doing a speed test:

Defaults.woff

Is this critical file? These 2 files seem to be stalling the load of the site and producing errors.

Hello, i’m not official support, but i have interest on web optimisation… i see that your site preload images and there are 3 images alone that can sum up to 6mb alone (one of the image load twice because the second call is using parameter, they are:
nightgolf.png
nightgolf.png?id=21351
first-tee_ball.jpg?id=95

Optimize this 3 images alone can significantly impact your speed performance.
