Hello,
What is the best search button for searching the complete site; when I use the search widget in the appearance widget menu the search results of this widget allways ends up showing the shop and so nobody ever sees any searchresults. This is also if I deselect shop and products to search for.
Best regards,
Gerhard
Hello,
You may try to use any search plugins. Please note you have to look for plugins yourself as we don’t guarantee full compatibility of 3rd-party plugins with the theme.

Hello,
If you’re using the widget “8theme – Search Form” then there are option to select where you want to search for items:

Please check it.

Hello,
Yes I understand, but the problem is if for instance I only select pages thh result is not shown (just for a split second) and ends up showing the products page. In that way it is useless. Why is the result not shown on the page where you were or in a pop up?

Hello,
Please show a page where you use search widget.

Hello,
I initially had the widget on the shop side bar which is only shown in the shop. That is why it always went to the shop…. Because that is useless I had removed it, sorry.
It is now on the lowest end of the main sidebar which is only visible on the blog. Now it always ends in the blog…..
http://prntscr.com/9gqb8r
shows that if I enter a word from a portfolio page it shows initially 5 found portfoliopages SHORTLY and then shows the top page with “no posts found”.
The first time the found pages are shown though under the search field (I see now for the first time), but when scrolling or searching for the second time with the samee string no results are given.
Is it better to use it as a custom sitebar and widgetised block?
Best regards,
Team Borijn
